Indians bounce back with thrilling victory over Hannibal

After losing the season opener against Mexico 2-0, the Elsberry Indians'
soccer team bounced back in dramatic fashion and picked up a victory against
Hannibal 2-1 on Friday, Sept. 3.
Head Coach Shannon Wells was pleased with the way his team responded to the
opening loss.
"I told the kids that although we lost the match 2-0, we were able to see
the areas we need to spend more time in practice," he said.  "Winning the
opening game of the season is nice, but it is more important for us to learn
from our mistakes and correct them so that we can be ready for districts."
The Indians are focused on each game the schedule hands them. ...
